Utah

Hello everyone,

Our Annual Spring Meeting is fast approaching and I would like to give you an update on what your Utah State Assembly is planning…

We are picking on the brain…

We thought it would be useful to touch on the subjects of central and peripheral nervous systems; therefore, we have set up presentations on spine and brain surgery where we can review relevant anatomy and become familiar with techniques used to treat common affections such as lumbar stenosis or others not as common like Parkinson’s Disease.

… Navigating our way in the OR

An innovative technique used in neurosurgery is surgical navigation. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn the principles, methodology, and application of the Stealth Navigation System. If you are already familiar with these techniques, this will be an excellent time to ask questions and become better at utilizing the resourceful tool in the OR.

Welcoming Spring

There will be raffles, prices, treats, and other surprises for those attending.

We will be electing Board of Directors (BOD) Officials (1 BOD Vice-President 1 year, 1 BOD Secretary and 3 BOD Officials for 2 years), as well as Delegates for the upcoming National Conference in Orlando, FL, and announcing the incentives to participate of the important gathering near the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and Disney World parks.

Join us in the Utah Assembly Board of Directors

Please help us promote what we do by participating of our BOD. Your participation is always needed in sharing your compromise and ideas for making our Assembly better for colleagues, students, and others involved in the surgical field.

If you’re thinking in becoming a Utah State Assembly Official or Delegate for National Conference, please follow the instructions in the attached files. All you need is to fill out Curriculum Vitae, Candidate Statement, and Consent to Serveforms, sign and send them to ast.utah@gmail.com by February 10th, 2018. You will find the requisites to become an official of the Board of Directors in the “State Assembly Bylaws” and “Delegate Requirements” attachments in this email along with other necessary paperwork. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

Attached you will also find the flyer for the event. Please feel free to print out as many as you need and post them around your facility. Don’t hesitate to use the contact information on this email to ask questions if you have any. We will be happy to do whatever we can to help you with information.
